FAQ
Is Brisas de la Montaña the right place for me?
We recommend reading these frequently asked questions before making your reservation to ensure your visit meets your expectations. We are located on a farm near the beach with a natural forest, which means it can be hot and humid here. During the green season, rain falls frequently, and due to our location, you may encounter a variety of native wildlife. We do our best to keep insects at bay, but you may see several during your stay. Air conditioning is available in enclosed spaces like the apartments, suite, and villa.
Considering the above, if you want to reconnect with nature and enjoy some relaxation, Finca Brisas de la Montaña is the ideal place for you.
How do I get to Finca "Brisas de la Montaña"?
We are located 25 minutes from Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
From San Jose, it is a 4-hour drive from Juan Santa Maria International Airport, or just half an hour if you take a domestic flight with Sansa Airlines to Daniel Oduber Airport.
Upon arriving in Playas del Coco, you will find a large anchor at the entrance where the four lanes begin. We are 150 meters east of the anchor, down a gravel road. The finca has a black gate and a terracotta red wall.
Is Finca Brisas de la Montaña on the beach? Can I walk to the beach?
We are 1km from the beach. You can also drive to several beaches that are very close to our location.
- Ocotal Beach: Just 15 minutes away
- Hermosa Beach: 20 minutes away
- La Penca Beach: Only 10 minutes away
- Coco Beach: 5 minutes away
- Panama Beach: 20 minutes away
What special items should we bring for our stay?
Bring cameras, insect repellent, a sun hat, swimwear, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Closed-toe shoes for walking (sneakers or light boots), a pair of shoes for the beach, and t-shirts and shorts for the tropical climate.
We provide towels for the pool and for indoor use in the villa. You’ll also find soap in the bathrooms and kitchen. If you plan to use the kitchen, there are several supermarkets just 5 minutes away by car.
Are there mosquitoes and other insects at the finca?
Yes, and yes: we have mosquitoes and other insects. We do our best to keep them under control. You may encounter insects or other wildlife during your stay. Mosquitoes are typically more active at sunset and early in the morning. We have fans in our public areas to help with mosquitoes. We highly recommend using repellent.
What activities can I do at the finca?
On the property, we have several experiences you can enjoy. You can hike our trails with ocean views and birdwatch, relax by the pool, enjoy time in our hammocks, or play board games on the covered terrace.
We also have special activities; you can meet our retired horses, Estrella and Frank—they love carrots and attention, although Estrella can be a bit grumpy due to her age. You can connect with our holistic coach for a guided meditation session with Singing Crystal bowls.
Are children allowed?
Children over 5 years old are welcome on our property. However, we remind parents of the importance of keeping children under adult supervision at all times. Our property is spacious and has trails and wooded areas where little ones could get lost.
Additionally, since we value the peace and quiet that our guests seek, we ask parents to be considerate of other visitors. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain a harmonious environment for everyone!
